Mary Lou Parker and Stephanie Plansker are certified by the Cecchetti Council of America , and under their instruction MADC students will progress through the Cecchetti ranks, developing a strong foundation that supports and enhances their dance ability in all disciplines.

The Cecchetti Council of America is an organization dedicated to maintaining the standards and method of ballet training established by Cav. Enrico Cecchetti.  The organization uses his teaching and writings in a sequence of grades, carefully measured as to degree of difficulty and physical development, and provides a system of accredited examinations to test the student’s proficiency within those grades.  The Cecchetti method offers many rewards to the individual as each grade is successfully completed.

Students should realize that there is a specific goal to their Cecchetti class. Our goal is to take pride in the accomplishment of receiving a Cecchetti Certificate that was earned with hard work through self-discipline, commitment and dedication.

Parents, students and instructors should realize that working toward the Cecchetti examinations will require determination and tenacity for all involved. Students will feel their bodies strengthen as well as their minds and have a great time doing so. Students are NOT required, nor are we obligated in any way to send all students in for their Cecchetti exams.  Students will take their exams when we feel they are best prepared and ready to be tested.
